Dr. Dhrubajyoti Mondal was born in Birbhum District of West Bengal in 1989. After completing his school life from his Village School, he moved to Uttar Siksha Sadana of Visva-Bharati in 2004 and passed Pre-Degree Examination (10+2) in 2006 with First Division (University Rank: 7th). He completed B.Sc. (Hons) in Chemistry from Siksha Bhavana of Visva-Bharati in 2009 with First Division (University Rank: 2nd). Then he cleared all India based JAM-2009 Examination, conducted by IITs, and started his M. Sc. in IIT-Delhi in 2009. He cleared CSIR-UGC NET Examination as CSIR in 2010(dec) and after completing his M. Sc. in 2011, he moved to Indian Association for The Cultivation of Science (IACS) for Doctoral Studies. He joined IACS as JRF in 2011 under the guidance of Prof. Muktimoy Chaudhury. He obtained his Ph. D. in 2017 on Transition Metal Coordination and Bioinorganic Chemistry. During these 6.5 years period of his Ph. D., he has published research works in several reputed High Impact National and International Journals. He started his Teaching Career in Lady Brabourne College under Calcutta University as a Guest Lecturer in 2017. Then he joined Academy of Technology under Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology as an Assistant Professor (Jan, 2018 - Dec, 2019). He ranked 8th in the Public Service Commission (WBPSC) Examination and Interview for the post of Assistant Professor in Chemistry in all over West Bengal and served as an Assistant Professor in Government General Degree College, Mangalkote under University of Burdwan (Dec, 2019 - July, 2021). He also cleared West Bengal College Service Commission (WBCSC) Interview in 2020 and selected as an Assistant Professor in Sree Chaitanya College, Habra under West Bengal State University. Currently he is continuing his Research and Teaching as an Assistant Professor at Department of Chemistry, Visva-Bharati. His key points of research interests are small molecule activation, synthesis, and characterization of high valent metal-oxo complexes and synthesis, characterization, magnetic studies of metal complexes with ligand radical and multinuclear metal complexes.
