Welcome to Polymer Synthesis and Therapeutics Laboratory
Pradip Dey was born in Howrah, West Bengal. He graduated from Presidency College (affiliated to University of Calcutta) with B. Sc in Chemistry (Honors) in July 2008. Then, he received his M.Sc. in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, India, in 2010. Subsequently, he joined the group of Prof. Rainer Haag at the Freie Universität Berlin, Germany, and obtained his Ph.D. (Dr. rer Nat. ) in October 2015. After a postdoctoral stint as DRS Honors Fellow at FU Berlin (November 2015 - March 2017), he joined the group of Prof. Suhrit Ghosh at IACS Kolkata, India. In the IACS Kolkata (April 2017-Dec 2019), he studied the self-assembly of amphiphilic polymers. Subsequently, he joined the group of Prof. Ronit Satchi-Fainaro as a postdoctoral fellow at Tel Aviv University, Israel. Currently, he has been working as an Assistant Professor at the Organic Chemistry section, Department of Chemistry, Visva-Bharati (A Central University), India, since July 2021. In September 2022, he was awarded with starting research grant by SERB, India.
